GS - 00: EXAMINATION OF HEMP SYSTEMS

Over the last 3.6 billion years, nature has gone through a process of trial and error to refine the living organisms, processes, and materials on planet Earth.

This process is still refining itself, everyday.

The emerging field of biomimetics - examination of nature, its models, systems, processes, and elements to emulate or take inspiration from in order to solve human problems - has given rise to new technologies created from biologically inspired engineering at both the macro scale and nanoscale levels.

GS - 01: Specific processes

From the many systems and processes that the Cannabis Sativa L. plant has, only some of them will be developed during our experimental research.

Because CO2 is the agenda that will conduct our experimentation, specific processes such as: Photosyntesis, Photomorphogenesis, Phyllotaxis, variations of its inputs, etc., will be the subjects to measure, sense and hack, with CO2 systems.

Since CO2 is an input and output, exposing the plants to it, should generate interesting results within the processes and the plant’s physiology.

Hemp Biology and Botany

The following summarizes the relationship between the morphology, exterior inputs and processes of a regular plants.

Some specific processes have been highlighted, because of its relative importance to the experiment being developed.

Most of the solid material in a plant is taken from the atmosphere, through photosyntesis process.

Plants usually rely on soil primarily for support and water, but also obtain compounds of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and other elemental nutrients.
